Savannah Children's Museum in Savannah, GA
The Savannah Children's Museum is located in Tricentennial Park, in the courtyard of the old Central Georgia Railway Carpentry Shop. It takes up the lower level of the old shop and the courtyard, giving two levels of fun and play for the whole family to explore. The property is one acre and opening in two phases, the first phase being the outdoor play space.
Savannah Children's Museum offers an exploration maze and over a dozen interactive exhibits for children and parents to explore together. Jungle gyms, slides and more provide an excellent way to drain youngsters of some energy. A sensory garden with many objects to touch, see, smell and hear will delight your child's senses and occupy them for hours. The Savannah Children's Museum has a reading nook complete with books for all ages to be read with an adult or alone. Educators staff the Savannah Children's Museum and create fun, educational programs daily to keep children and families exploring and learning together.
If you are in Savannah visiting or just passing through and have little ones you should not pass up the opportunity to visit the Savannah Children's Museum. There are many children's museums across the country but very few have an outdoor play space and none can compare to the Savannah Children's Museum.
