Unbeatable Shows
One of the first things people think of when planning a trip is 'shows'. There are over a hundred to choose from at any given point! This is truly one of the best places to be to watch quality live entertainment. Some of the most popular shows include Dolly Parton's Stampede, the Haygoods, Yakov, Acrobats on Ice, Reza Edge of Illusion Magic Show, and the Oak Ridge Boys. No matter what show you want to see, it will be fun for the whole group.
This incredible 1880s theme park brings in about two million visitors every single year. Located on sixty acres, it opened on May 1, 1960 and is situated on the site of Marvel Cave, one of the Ozarks' oldest attractions. The history of this cave is fascinating with the tourism of it dating back to the late 1800s. Once it began drawing in more and more tourism, the owners decided to open up something else to bring in even more visitors to the area. The theme park originally opened as a site of a church, a log cabin, five shops, and a street production of the feud between the Hatfields and McCoys. The park brought in 125,000 guests the first year! That is four times the number of people that toured Marvel Cave annually.
Today, the massive theme park is one of the most popular destinations in the area. It has plenty of family-friendly charm tucked into the beautiful Ozark Mountains. It offers visitors a full day of more than forty thrilling rides and attractions, over forty live entertainment shows daily, and an exciting look back into the 19th-century culture of the Ozarks. There are many great places to eat, unique shops to browse, live music to enjoy, and enough entertainment to keep you busy for the entire trip!
Table Rock Lake
This massive lake was created over fifty years ago due to the damming of the White River. With more than 800 miles of shoreline and 43,000 acres of water, Table Rock Lake is an amazing place to visit for all nature lovers. Go boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, or canoeing on the water and explore the coves. While you are out there, you may see deer, raccoons, wild turkey, eagles, woodchucks, and maybe even a black bear! The huge size of the lake makes it the perfect destination for watersports and fishing. Take a self-guided tour or if you want more, the area offers guided fishing tours for those who want to get the most out of their trip. Natural beauty is everywhere in the Ozarks; don't miss out on the chance to see the best of it.
Great Family Entertainment
Of course, theme parks and lakes are not the only things that this town has to offer. There is a wide variety of entertainment. Take a ride on the Belle, visit the Titanic Museum attraction, go on a zipline adventure through the trees, see the Promised Land Zoo, tour the Scottish Highland Farm, or take a helicopter tour over the city. No matter what season you visit, you will truly not run out of things to do. It's one of the best places to be for families, no matter their age!
