There are re-enactments that take place on-site at the blacksmith's forge, you will even have the opportunity to try on armor and participate games from the 17th century!

American Revolution Museum at Yorktown

What better time to celebrate the birth of America than in the month of July. Pack up the family and head to the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown, Virginia. The museum is interactive, and you will learn what America was like right before the colonial period to the time period when the constitution was written. Among the museum exhibits are the galleries where you will see paintings, maps, furniture, and weapons. You will get an inside look at the lives of both free and enslaved African Americans and their roles in the American Revolutionary War. The museum is home to the original artwork by Titus Kapha. You will watch a reenactment. Get an up close look at how the soldiers lived, what they ate, and what their weapons were like. The actors are very knowledgeable and are happy to answer any questions. Finally, take time to visit the farm and learn how families made their clothes, how they ate, and how the farm worked.
