Reviews of Savannah Historic Trolley Tour

Personnel went out of their way to assist me and my friend. We had checked into our hotel (with valet parking) and our reservation was in the car! They went the extra mile to get us on our tour! We arranged to leave our reservation with the concierge at the hotel. I've been to savannah before but enjoyed the trolley tour again. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and very entertaining. Cannot wait to visit your beautiful city again.

Great way to learn about the town and to move around without having to look or pay for parking. The guides even tell you the best places to visit.

We really enjoyed our tour of savannah. We chose to do the on/off tour and are glad that we did. We got off at a couple of different places and explored, shopped, and ate and then got on the next trolley that came by. Our longest wait for a trolley was about 10 minutes. Getting on and off we experienced several different drivers, but all were very knowledgeable. At several stops they had an actor get on board that was playing the role of some significant person from savannah history, that was quite enjoyable. Our favorite part was a forrest gump impersonator that got on at one of the stops. It was very unexpected and very funny. I think it's really cool that the tour company adds this type of entertainment to their tours. Overall we were very pleased. We were able to learn how to navigate the town and learned a lot about the town as well. I highly recommend old savannah tours when visiting.

Great way to get an idea of what you want to see in the city. We rode it the first thing the first day. It sure helped a lot.

The best thing to do. You should start your visit with this tour and hop on hop off pass. These guys know the town, the real history, and make the ride super fun.

We did drop on on drop off trolley tour. I suggest staying on one complete round, taking notes of where you want to stop. The trolley was every 20 minutes as stated, the suprise visitors at some of the stops were informative and entertaining. We do a lot of trolley tours and this was definitely the best so far!!!

Love this a good way to see all there is to do

We were on board for most of the loop, having 2 different guides talking about the sites. Both were excellent, totally different, one a young male comedian (really) and one a seasoned veteran (woman). Both made the ride so entertaining and fun. I wish we had had time to go around a second time. At several spots along the way, an actor would jump on board for a quick soliloquy about what had taken place at that historic spot. Very enjoyable, and nice change of pace, both the stopping of the trolley and the acting twist, with costume and accents reflecting the times and place!

Again great with our driver, big ed. What a hoot. Very convenient too as it is on/off for the day. A great job from vacations made easy. Thanks!

Learn something every time we take it.

We went on both versions of the trolley they had to offer. I liked them both and they both seemed to hit on different facts. I would use either one again

Very accommodating.

This is a must because it is a way to learn the city before you drive it on your own. A must if you are going to drive downtown later. Information from guide was very interesting and helpful when driving back to see it on your own. Would do it again.

Some of the drivers were much more interesting than others, but we learned so much about savannah and enjoyed the guests that stopped on the trolley to tell there stories: forest gump, johnny mercer, and others.

The sightseeing tour was very informative. I especially enjoyed the stop where a character portrayed forrest gump. I learned a lot about savannah through this tour. I look forward to another tour that highlights the many places of interest.

Excellent! Guides/drivers were extremely knowledgeable and gracious! They even had an air conditioned trolley which was great for the ride back! Definitely would recommend this to anyone who wants to tour savannah!

Fortunately, the weather cleared for the two hours we were in the open-sided trolley. Guide was informative. Trolley trip is worth experiencing as there appeared to be little to no available private car parking in the historic districts. Spoiler alert: all tour providers seem have plagiarized a standardized chamber of commerce tour script. Heard verbatim descriptions on the trolley tour and the lunch cruise.

Our driver name hollywood was the best, he inform us of history about savannah we never knew. He was the best!!!!!!!! Stopping at some stops. A person would be dress up about apart of history and tell you a story. It was so cool! Can't wait to do it again

Knowledgeable drivers. Great way to get around the city. We especially liked the fact that you could get on and off. We really enjoyed the historic characters that came on board as various stops. It gave us a bit of history that we wouldn't have known otherwise.

This was a fantastic way to see the city and hear about their history. I loved the characters that jumped on the trolley from 3/4 different stops and the information they shared was very informative and entertaining. I would highly recommend this trolley tour.

We did the all day on and off. This was a wonderful way to introduce yourself to the beautiful historical district of savannah. The historical district is very large and you can't take it in with one loop. The tour guides mo jo and kathleen were a lot of fun and were well versed in the history of savannah! It is hot in savannah in july and august! We began our tour at 9:00 am and went on and off all day. I would book at 9:00 am wear comfortable shoes and drink lots of water ....Very hot in savannah in july and august! Great tour!
