Featuring exhibits that cover everything from dinosaurs to the Piggly Wiggly grocery store chain, the Pink Palace Museum in Memphis is quite unlike any other. The center mostly chronicles the history of Memphis, and is well-known for its permanent exhibit that features a replica of the first Piggly Wiggly. About the Pink Palace Memphis Museum: Explore the Pink Palace Museum
There have been many different exhibits that have been housed here for a period of time. Just a few of these include lectures, exhibits, and displays detailing topics from the Civil War to Memphis history and art. Other popular exhibits have included Clyde Parke's Miniature Circus, which featured more than 2,000 tiny circus 'performers,' most of which are animated. This remarkable creation was made on a 1-inch-to-1-foot scale. Exhibits are constantly changing, so there is always something new to see and interact with.
The Pink Palace Museum also features notable exhibits on dinosaurs and how the fossils chronicle the changes in our planet throughout the centuries, the Civil War, yellow fever epidemics, life in early 20th century Memphis, and many more! There are also many traveling exhibits, including more than 33 interactive exhibits that will put you in the heart of the music industry. From creating your own disco to starring in your own video, all ages will find plenty of fun with access to all areas.

Cultural History of the Mid-South
This exhibit includes a variety of different displays detailing the vast history of the area. Guests will be able to experience this exhibit which features everything from prehistoric bones at the 'First Americans' display to the History of Memphis from 1800 to 1900. Guests will be able to explore topics such as slavery and the Civil War and learn about Memphis history and impact on everything from science to music. Guests can also explore a historic log cabin and see real memorabilia from these historic events.
Natural History of the Mid-South
Take a walk on the wild side with this wondrous display. Here, guests can learn all about the variety of animals that call the mid-south home. The exhibit features a variety of different environments that make up the Memphis area. Guests can explore channels, lakes of the Mississippi River, floodplains, sand hills, and more. There is a huge collection of skeletons and bones from animals and an extensive insect exhibit which displays butterflies, moths, and more. Explore the 'Geology' exhibit to see how these geological wonders were formed. Discover your ancestors, explore dinosaurs, see skeletons, and learn about the mammals of Memphis at the Natural History of the Mid-South exhibit.
Re-Imagined Mansion
This exhibit has recently gone under renovation, improving upon its display. The re-opening includes exhibits such as the reconstructed Piggly Wiggly and the Clyde Park Miniature Circus. The second story is now open, allowing guests to explore an area that has not been open since 1978. Here, guests can see more than 600 different artifacts from a variety of exhibits. There is even a brand new grand staircase.
CTI 3D Giant Imax Theater
This massive theater features a state-of-the-art 4K projector, RealD 3D technology, and a premium audio system to bring you an immersive theater experience. The theater plays a variety of films including Apollo 11: First Steps Edition, Walking with Dinosaurs: Prehistoric Planet, and the Harry Potter series.
