Featuring exhibits that cover everything from dinosaurs to the Piggly Wiggly grocery store chain, the Pink Palace Museum in Memphis is quite unlike any other. The center mostly chronicles the history of Memphis, and is well-known for its permanent exhibit that features a replica of the first Piggly Wiggly. You'll learn how the store and its creator, Clarence Saunders, revolutionized the grocery business in Memphis, throughout the South, and around the world.

About the Pink Palace Memphis Museum: Explore the Pink Palace Museum

There have been many different exhibits that have been housed here for a period of time. Just a few of these include lectures, exhibits, and displays detailing topics from the Civil War to Memphis history and art. Other popular exhibits have included Clyde Parke's Miniature Circus, which featured more than 2,000 tiny circus 'performers,' most of which are animated. This remarkable creation was made on a 1-inch-to-1-foot scale. Exhibits are constantly changing, so there is always something new to see and interact with.

The Pink Palace Museum also features notable exhibits on dinosaurs and how the fossils chronicle the changes in our planet throughout the centuries, the Civil War, yellow fever epidemics, life in early 20th century Memphis, and many more! There are also many traveling exhibits, including more than 33 interactive exhibits that will put you in the heart of the music industry. From creating your own disco to starring in your own video, all ages will find plenty of fun with access to all areas.

Permanent Exhibits: As well as offering a variety of fun traveling exhibits and events, the Pink Palace Museum is home to several displays that make their permanent home here. These exhibits include:
