"I will never forget my trip to the Civil Rights Museum."
I was really moved with what i experience at the museum. I really like the why you could pause the recorder and stay at that history setting as long as you liked. I felt like i was at the protest, and the march on washington. It really made you feel like you were apart of history. I will never forget my trip to the civil rights museum. Thank you,

Awesome & thought provoking. Could have spent much more time there if it weren't for closing time & for me getting back to our holy convocation meeting.

"What a powerful exhibit."
What a powerful exhibit. Everyone should do their best to go see that and spend sometime reading and listening to what is presented. I remember seeing on the news so much of that and it was painful to see it again but necessary. We cannot ever forget what was done to those brave people.

Hi in june of 2006 my wife and i went to the national civil rights museum and we were overwhelmed by the degree of history that this place holds. You really get the feeling of being there the day this senseless act of humanity took place. It was very educational as well as sad.We think it was one of the best experiences of our lifetimes. Have plans to revisit soon.

I visited memphis in 2007 after the birth of my daughter. One day i had the opportunity to visit the civil rights museum, when i looked at the outside something came over me that i had never felt before. We walked in and the first place i really wanted to see was dr. Kings hotel room. When i got to his room i began to cry because it was like his spirit had never left the hotel. I began to become more grateful for the people who struggled to make things better for all generations after them. It was one of the most breath taking museums i have ever been to. The most strangest thing happened on the way out of the museum, the lady who was there through every thing that happened even the death of martin luther king was sitting on the corner so we decided to go and talk to her. I saw that she really cares for dr. King because she slept there all night, she told stories about what happened. The stories she told were touching to me. I will be returning to memphis january 9, 2009 to visit my father and i will make a special trip to go to the museum. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was so much more than i expected. I wanted to share a piece of history with my 8 y/o daughter and i was exposed to so much as well. Eveeryone should visit this museum, they preserved the hotel room the way it was when mlk was assasinated. Wonderful!

As so many that have had the opportunity to view this breath taking museum, i was speechless, and felt as though i was there the day it all happened. I loved every minute of it, just listening to the stories brought tears to my eyes to hear and see what our people went through to make things better for generations to come. If you have not been, please go its well worth the money you'll spend in gas.

Fedex express had a class to tour the civil rights museum on may 10th and the participants had nothing but raved reviews for lakita (i think that is her name). They appreciated her knowledge and professionalism. Based on this, i wanted to send in a note of thanks to lakita and to let you know how much her input meant to the class. Lakita, keep up the great job you are doing for the museum. Doris adams hr administrator fedex express 901-434-6146

I was really amused with all of memphis and what it had to offer as far as the museums and the bar-b-que. The jazz the blues. I could just feel the free spirit of the people of memphis that i was exposed to. Everyone was so friendly. The music was the boom. I guess that i was just over whelmed with all of the history, from martin luther king to elvis presley, and loved those grilled peanut butter and banana sandwiches. I loved the concerts by the river. Memphis i will be back......... Thank you

I was overwhelmed with memphis. It is such a gentle walk through time with martin luther, beale's and the history of music. The peabody hotel of itself is timeless. Memphis for me was like van gough's iris'. It is the beauty of the iris captured within this timeless city. The walk from the civil rights museum to the arcade restaurant. Everything in memphis is so vital to those areas of humankind that are of importance such as music, food, equality and the opportunity to breathe fresh clean air as a free person. Thank you for such a beautiful experience.
