The National Christmas Center Family Attraction and Museum is open year-round, and brings you exhibits and displays covering Christmases of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Through the fifteen permanent exhibits as well as a number of temporary exhibits throughout the museum, you can learn about what Christmas was like long ago through the current times, and you can even glimpse what many think Christmas will look like far into the future. The 20,000 square foot museum features life-sized exhibits including Virginia's letter to Santa Claus, Christmases around the world, the first Christmas, a train toy land Christmas, a Woolworth's Five and Dime Christmas, and others. There is also a gift shop and snack shop on-hand.
The Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre is a popular theater known for its Broadway-style shows as well as its classic American cuisine. The American Music Theatre's Christmas Show is not to be missed on your holiday trip to Lancaster. With a long history of entertaining locals and visitors to the Lancaster area, the American Music Theatre knows how to put on a good show. The theater's annual Christmas Show is suited for all ages and includes both traditional and secular Christmas tunes with a capella and orchestral renditions. The show also features comedic skits, dancers, and an appearance by Old Saint Nick himself.
