Are you interested in visiting the Amish Country? Have you heard that it's a very tight-knit and "traditional" place? Well, here is a tour through the areas of Holmes and Wayne counties to which many visitors flock every year. This tour features pictures of authentic Amish homes, barns, fields and other locales throughout these counties. The author also provides an extensive list of suggestions on places to visit while in the area.
The author, Thomas N. Hare, is a native of Dayton, OH and currently resides in West Chester, OH with his wife and three children. Mr. Hare has an extensive background in tourism and business development for over 20 years throughout the United States and overseas. The author has worked on behalf of some of the largest cities in America to help brand them as major tourist destinations through non-traditional media such as cruise ships, luxury trains and international TV networks. Along with his writing projects on locales throughout the world, Mr. Hare has also collaborated with several state and national tourism agencies to ensure that their destinations are properly represented in media outlets. The author's greatest passion is to encourage the growth of small business and entrepreneurship by providing direction in areas which are normally overlooked. The author has a Master's Degree from the University of Dayton in Business Administration and a Bachelor's Degree from Saint Francis University in Hotel Administration.
Although no experience is required to take this tour, the author recommends that all travelers be familiar with their direction and how to get around their destination.
As a reader you are allowed to add comments or share stories about your own experiences while visiting these locations and post any pictures you feel would help others find their way in the area.
