Sci Fi Dine In Theater in Orlando, FL

351 S Studio Dr. Orlando, FL 32830
Remember the drive-in theaters of the 50s and 60s? The folks at the Walt Disney World Resort sure do! The Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant offers a fun family dining experience in Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Here, you can do 'dinner and a movie' the way it was done in the 50s. Take a seat under the stars in the retro car-shaped booths and tables, and enjoy classic commercials and movie trailers on the big screen in front of you. Savor delicious Amercian favorites like hamburgers and hot dogs, and finish it all off with a specialty milkshake.

Like everything else in the Walt Disney World Resort, the details of the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant will delight movie-lovers of all ages. Each car-shaped booth or table seats up to six people sitting in three rows of two seats. The all-American menu offers classics including burgers, hot dogs and pasta, and the dessert menu is full of sweet treats. For those over 21, the restaurant offers a few signature cocktails themed on the movies. While you eat, the big screen in the front of the restaurant plays a steady stream of trailers and clips from classic B movies, including 'Plan 9 from Outer Space' and 'The Amazing Colossal Man.' Movie memorabilia can be found everywhere, even in the entrance and hallways. They even have the original Rocketeer Helmet from the 1991 film!

This restaurant is considered part of the Disney Dining Plan and counts as a table service credit. As with many restaurants in Walt Disney World, you will want to make reservations if you can as the seats fill quickly, and those who do not have reservations are often placed at the small non-car-shaped tables in the back of the restaurant. Anyone who remembers these classic drive-in experiences will thoroughly enjoy the nostalgia of watching movies at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant, although younger generations will also delight in this new and unique experience.
