About the Playhouse
The Winter Park Playhouse was founded in 2002, and since then it has served the Orlando area by bringing it an array of amazing plays and shows! This musical theater produces and presents various plays and musicals throughout the year, with professional players and actors lighting up the stage. It is located downtown and just a few minutes from Winter Park, offering a fantastic location. The theater itself has 123 comfortable seats, an expansive stage, a great sound and lighting system, and immersive shows that will keep show goers entertained.
The actors all perform within the Actors' Equity Association, which is a union of professional actors and stage managers. Because of this professional nature, every show brings amazing, high-quality entertainment to Orlando residents and tourists alike! The year-round programs include the Mainstage Series which are all produced in the region, as well as the Spotlight Cabaret Series and the Florida Festival of New Musicals which is an international festival showcasing brand new musicals.

Snacks and beverages are available for purchase at the theatre's bar. Beverages may be taken into the theatre during the performance but food must be consumed in the lobby. Outside food and beverages are not permitted in the building.

Students must be at least 15 years old to attend a Mainstage Musical or Spotlight Cabaret.
- Is photography / video recording allowed on the The Winter Park Playhouse?
No. Audio/video recording and taking pictures is strictly prohibited during all performances.Patrons must turn off cell phones, remove hats/headwear, and refrain from talking or any disruptive behavior during the show.
- Is the The Winter Park Playhouse handicap accessible?
Patrons utilizing a wheelchair who are unable to transfer to a theatre seat must call the Box Office to purchase tickets as there are limited removable seats in the theatre. Patrons utilizing ADA approved service animals must call the Box Office to purchase tickets as there is one designated area. Emotional Support Animals or other animals that do not meet the criteria set forth by the ADA are not permitted. Service animals must be leashed or harnessed at all times, and will share the seating area of the patron as aisles and walkways must be kept clear for safety.
