    The Battery - visit this defensive seawall along Charleston Harbor White Point Garden - a public park since 1837, it was used to store artillery during the Civil War Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon - one of only four remaining structures where the US Constitution was ratified in 1788 as well as Charleston's most common destination for public slave auctions Marion Square - established as a parade ground for state arsenal and named for one of the founders of modern guerrilla warfare during the Revolution King Street - originally the main route of the city, now the upscale shopping street of Charleston

The Old Village claims some of the best waterfront views of the Charleston area. Shem Creek - this popular waterfront destination with it's own 2200-ft boardwalk is a favorite for locals, shrimpers and dolphins as well!
