Then let us take you out to discover the charming Old Village in Mt. Pleasant. The tour will pause for a lunch break* in the middle of the day in either Downtown Charleston or Mt. Pleasant (guest's choice) before continuing on. In the afternoon, guests will tour either Boone Hall Plantation or the McLeod Historic Site - two historic and beautiful plantations near Charleston.   1. Stops at: Historic Downtown Charleston
    The Battery - visit this defensive seawall along Charleston Harbor White Point Garden - a public park since 1837, it was used to store artillery during the Civil War Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon - one of only four remaining structures where the US Constitution was ratified in 1788 as well as Charleston's most common destination for public slave auctions Marion Square - established as a parade ground for state arsenal and named for one of the founders of modern guerrilla warfare during the Revolution King Street - originally the main route of the city, now the upscale shopping street of Charleston Guests can choose to eat lunch in Downtown Charleston or in Mt. Pleasant * cost of lunch not included in tour

  3. Stops at: Charleston Waterfront Park
    Waterfront Park Pier - originally home to wharfs and shipping terminals, now a lovely park with a wide pier that juts out into the harbor, perfect for relaxing and taking in the view Gadsden's Wharf - the first destination for an estimated 100,000 enslaved Africans during the peak of the international slave trade

  4. Stops at: Mount Pleasant Historic Distric
    The Old Village sits on the Charleston harbor and is known for its beautiful homes, moss-draped live oak trees and a small-town feel. The Old Village claims some of the best waterfront views of the Charleston area. Shem Creek - this popular waterfront destination with it's own 2200-ft boardwalk is a favorite for locals, shrimpers and dolphins as well!

  5. Stops at: Boone Hall Plantation
    Guests will choose to visit either Boone Hall Plantation or McLeod Historic Site. Boone Hall - one of America's oldest plantations dating back to the 17th century, this 738-acre plantation still produces agricultural crops to this day McLeod Historic Site - a 'middle class' plantation with a 19th-century home as well as original slave quarters and outbuildings
