Did you know that America's first combination candy bar was created in Nashville? The magic happened in 1912 at Standard Candy Company at Clark & First Avenue. Here, the goo goo cluster was invented by Howell Campbell Sr and Porter Moore. It combined delicious ingredients of caramel, marshmallow nougat, peanuts, and milk chocolate. This completely revolutionized the candy industry, as it was the first time that a candy bar consisted of more than one main ingredient. Thanks to Goo Goo Clusters, we now have a market that is filled with various chocolate bars and candies. None quite compares, though, to an original Goo Goo Cluster!
