Space Art Gallery in San Antonio

110 E Lachapelle San Antonio, TX 78204
The Space Art Gallery which is an artist's run space is free and exhibits artwork to the public every second Saturday of the month.

It's a hot-spot for local artists in the San Antonio art scene and is a prosperous space for them to showcase the creative work, especially for their first time. The Space Art Gallery showcases contemporary art in the South Flores Arts District. It has 3 showrooms which are enclosed and was described by the San Antonio Current magazine as a 'modest' art gallery. It's for art lovers who travel to San Antonio, as well as for local residents who live in the Lone Star State. It sits beautifully behind the Dor?ol Distilling Company and located on 110 E Lachapelle.

Emerging artists who showcase their work at the gallery, especially if it's their first art exhibit, become enlightened and motivated as artists. Interestingly enough, the gallery has granted space for up-and-coming artists in the past. First exhibits being showcased at Space Art Gallery normally are a success. Since it's inception of the place, the compassion artists have while sharing their unique creativity to the world is for anyone who enjoys feeling entertained and inspired. The previous artwork which has been displayed in various forms and styles are in formats of paintings, sculptures, and objects of various artistic and creative designs.

Visitors worldwide who've had a chance go to Space Art Gallery soon learn artist and curator, Alex Rubio, is the artist who established it in March 2011. Developed and designed for the sole purpose of working to promote various artists of all ages, backgrounds, and styles, Space Art Gallery is a place to see creative outlets guests will appreciate.

It offers more substance to your vacation with plenty of hotels nearby. There's plenty of eateries such as the Mad-Hatter's Café, the La Margarita Restaurant and Oyster Bar, and La Tuna Grill which are prime places for coffee, lunch, and dinner. For those who want to shop in the area, there's that to! Meanwhile, the appreciation for the local artists by stopping in and viewing intricate, meaningful art work is a good reason to come by. Providing a place for creativity while creating a showcase, worth seeing. (You never know, you could be viewing the next Lichtenstein, Pollack or Warhol.)
