The lake itself has all the water sports one could want, including para-sailing, boat rentals, and fishing. But that is not the end of the park's attractions. Table Rock Dam, completed in 1958, is located just off the highway, standing 252 feet above the riverbed. Tours of the 6,423 foot long dam are available, along with a video of the history and making of the dam. A trail exists behind the visitor's center for those eager for exercise. The tour involves a 45-minute visit of the dam, which will probably not be opened for water flow, as it normally is not. But there are great places to take pictures of the lake and dam, and the information and view will be worth the trip.
The fish hatchery is known to be a fun place to visit for an up-close look at the workings of the hatchery. Fish food is available for small change and is a fun addition to the activities. A great stop for any vacationer, Table Rock State Park has a lot to offer for family activities.
