The unique layout and historical features make this campus an excellent stop for vacationers. Edwards Mill is an actual working mill, operated now by students. The 12-foot water wheel is turned around by the running water, streaming from Lake Honor. Home-made items are for sale, such as whole grains, meal, and flour, that are produced by the workers. Other items including rugs, quilts, linens and more are also available for viewing and purchase.
Also on campus is the Fruitcake and Jelly Kitchen, started in the 1900s. This is a treat to see, as this kitchen produces 40,000 cakes every year. There are various greenhouses open to visitors, and the Ralph Foster Museum, which holds treasures from the Ozarks' beginnings to the present. Learn the history of the Ozarks, see fine products being made and visit some of the loveliest plant-life in the region, at the College of the Ozarks.
