AT&T Center in San Antonio, TX

1 AT&T Center Parkway San Antonio, TX 78219
The AT&T Center is primarily home of the San Antonio Spurs professional basketball team in the National Basketball Association.

It is a multi purpose indoor arena that has many other events during the year in addition to the Spurs games. It seats 18,000 for basketball, 16,000 for ice hockey and nearly 20,000 for music concerts. It also has 50 luxury suites and 32 bathrooms. The facility was completed in 2002 after a $175 million county bond issue was passed. SBC Communications purchased the naming rights and then named it the AT&T Center. The center is next to the Freeman Coliseum, another indoor facility and near an existing outdoor rodeo arena.

While the Spurs are the main occupants, there are many other users. The Women's professional basketball Stars, and the professional ice hockey team, the Rampage, also call the ATT&T center home. The San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo is held there. as well as Xtreme Bull riding event put on by the Professional Cowboys Rodeo Association. There is also the San Antonio Sports Car Autocross competition held in the parking lot each month.

The facility is often booked by top name musical acts from around the nation, such as Toby Mac or Carrie Underwood. There are also music festivals, like blues, country, jazz and many others, some of which are just for a day and some for several days. The facility has three formal restaurants that are open to the general public whether or not attending an event. There are several food vendors inside, with items like barbecue, chicken, bratwurst, candy, soft drinks and alcohol beverages. Tours are available when there are no renovations going on.
