Orlando Shopping Malls and Outlet Centers
If Orlando suddenly found itself with no tourists at all, it would still have more than its share of residential communities. With an area population of over one and half million, that fact alone would make Orlando an ideal place to build an outlet mall...if not for the fact that the area already has several of them, adding up to several hundred individual outlet stores.
Outlet Centers in Orlando
- Belz Factory Outlet World - Centrally located at the intersection of I-4 and the Florida Turnpike, and 12 miles from Disney World, Belz Factory Outlet World houses 170 outlet stores in a complex of two full-enclosed malls and four strip centers. Outlets include all categories of product including house ware, clothing, toys, footwear, jewelry and electronics. There's a carousel in the food court, which is always a nice diversion for young children, and gives parents a chance for a coffee break.
- Kissimmee Value Outlet Shops - On West Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway (also known as Highway 192) in Kissimmee, just south of Orlando and just five miles east of Disney World. Here the emphasis is on popular brand names such as Bass, Van Heusen and Samsonite, combined with great value for your dollar. It boasts the only Nike outlet store in the area.
- Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores - Five minutes from Disney World on State Road 535, Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores contains all of the shops you'd expect to find in an outlet mall: Liz Claiborne, Nine West, Jockey, Big Dog, Old Navy, Reebok, Oshkosh B'Gosh, the Gap, and on and on. If you're looking for both familiarity and variety, as well as a good place to buy souvenirs (Disney Character Corner), then this is the mall for you.
- Orlando Premium Outlets - Billed as Orlando's 'only true upscale outlet center', expect to find the creme of the outlet mall crop, beginning with Armani, Barney's and Brooks Brothers, and ending with Ralph Lauren, Versace and Zegna. Located on Vineland Avenue, the Premium Outlets are a short distance from area attractions. If you're over 50 years old, take advantage of the 50-Plus Shopper Club. Every Tuesday, shoppers over 50 can get an additional 10% off just by presenting a photo ID to the cashier at participating stores. Add to that live weekend music and zero state tax on clothing purchases up to $50. How can you go wrong?
- Webster Flea Market
Whether you've stopped in for souvenirs or an extra sweater, for a bargain or just a bite to eat, you'll find the right Orlando area outlet mall to meet your needs and your budget.
