The production explores 400 years of Osage Nation history with each dance that unfolds on the stage. The cultural representation is accurate, important, and doesn't shy away from the truth. From the harrowing history of the European takeover and the disease, death, and modernization it caused to the assimilation into modern American culture, the ballet provides the true history of the Osage Nation and its people. The show is inspired and created by indigenous people from a variety of tribes. Inspired by the work of Osage writer Lou Brock, he worked with Dr Joseph Rivers to create original music for the ballet. The show also features the choreography of talented Osage / Cherokee choreographer Jenna Smith. Alongside these elements, the ballet features professional dancers and local performers from an array of Native American Nations.
