If you're driving, do all your car maintenance before you leave: change your oil, check fluids, lights, signals, wiper blades, air in your tires and the tread. Make sure you have a spare tire and jack. And have your insurance card, registration, and driver's license before pulling out of the driveway. |

If you take prescription medication, hang on to your original containers. It's best to travel with original containers; it makes it quicker during security checks. But I also think it's good to have two sets of medication, one in my purse and one in my luggage. So if I lose one, I have a back up. And since I save the original containers, both medications are in the proper bottles. |
