When you reach the Space Center, you may be welcomed by an astronaut depending on the day of your tour/ the availability of the astronauts. You'll have many out-of-this-world experiences on the tour. You will have the opportunity to see what it feels like when astronauts launch into space in a simulator and watch an IMAX movie to view a 3D moonwalk! One of the highlights of the tour is the Space Shuttle Atlantis; this opportunity is rare as you will be able to get nose-to-nose with the Atlantis spacecraft. With more than sixty interactive activities, you'll get to become an astronaut; create sonic booms, conduct virtual EVA, get an x-ray view of the shuttle's interior, extract cargo from the payload bay, and so much more. This was a great tour and our guide billy was so excited to share the history of kennedy space center. Even though he does this every day he as well as the other guides at the kennedy space center were excited to share their knowledge. It really sets the tone for the whole trip!
