I'm not even a country music fan, my wife and brother-in-law are. But, i spent more time in the museum then they did. The staff was knowledgeable and accommodating, they were familiar with the vme tickets, they were able to provide additional information regarding the area, and were very professional.
-- David B. Lazure - La Vista, NE
This is well worth the day. You may go at your own pace, great for school age kids because their are touch screen computers, kids can pull up records, look at the old or new record label, and listen to a little diddy, i took my kindergartner and he had a blast. Not engaging enough for kids under 5, even though i took a 4 and 2 year old as well. I recommend when you come out you go around the corner and eat lunch at jacks bbq!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-- Kristin Heath - Olive Branch, MS
The reba exhibit was wonderful. It is great to see and hear about singers and actors family history and how they get started in the business. It was great to see the older style of country music outfits and to hear some older country songs. The carrie underwood exhibit was amazing as well. I would recommend this to people that are going to visit nashville.

Museum was amazing ! The history of the performers in the 30s, 40s, etc. Was an eyeopener. Reminder that people originally handwrote their songs ! And how the music, performers and nashville have evolved. So much interesting material to read about each musician.

Even for the casual country music listener, this attraction is interesting and immensely enjoyable. Plan to spend around three hours to really soak up all the exhibits and artifacts. Displays are conveniently arranged chronologically, giving the visitor a feeling of walking through time. Several are interactive and would be enjoyable for many age ranges. The short films sprinkled throughout are worth grabbing a seat and watching. I typically don't enjoy such things, but these were well done and entertaining. This attraction was my favorite of our nashville weekend. I highly recommend it, whether you are a country music fan or not.

We enjoyed this part of our tour, actually enjoyed the entire tour. Here at the museum we got to listen to a blue grass group perform who were excellent. You might want to let people now ahead of time that flash pictures are not allowed in much of the museum. I carried around a camera that i couldn't use much. But we did use it at other spots on the tour.
-- Brenda Baron - Bardwell, KY

Our acomadations were excellent. The show on sunday night show was very fun. Not just a sales job. Having direct access on site up to ride grayline tours. The only thing that irritated me was bobby green's tour van were parked outside out building with the driver revving a desiel engine for over an hour. Our check in was sunday we had rain until thursday. We finally had nice weather so we could use our deck. These motor coaches need to park by the activity center, not in guest parking. Hall of fame museum was wonderful.

-- Martha Simpson - San Antonio, Texas
We are members of rock hall of fame and were quite impressed with the 3-story venue. Very good flow. Very tasteful decor fitting that genre of music. The line to buy tickets was taking about 20-25 min., but not for us. We showed our vouchers and walked right past the waiting line. Hall of fame was great, just didn't have time to see everything that i wanted to see. Thanks to vme, we didn't have to wait at any of the venues we chose to attend.
-- Barbara Whittington - Rochelle, GA
Not enough time was allowed, before the rest of the tour. We missed alot of things, that we wanted to look at. Next time we will not have it included on a tour.
-- Thomas Brisco - Independence, MO
This place is a must for country music fans!!!
-- Traci Brooks - Harrogate, TN
Very well put together. I liked the idea of starting up on 3rd floor and working our way to first floor. The hall of fame plaques were beautiful. I saw one disappointment in the plaques, however, the dates for those deceased should have all been the same. Some were large, some were small. I felt they should have matched their birth dates. Some of the displays contained very little memorabilia, but, that probably had to be the case so more items could be shown for more stars.
-- Georgia Tracy - Wellsboro, PA
Loved it the earphones for the self guided tour should have been included with this package
-- RoseMary Cortez - Point Pleasant, NJ
Not really what we expected.
-- Linda Snyder - Mahaffey, Pennsylvania

Very nice day spent at the hall of fame museum. But the museums at dollywood and loretta lynn's ranch are comparable, if not even more interesting. Much of the hall of fame museum was dedicated to newer artists and not so much the history of country music.

I recommend getting the tour to rca studios, it adds a lot of history. I liked the country music hall of fame, but can't say that it was amazing. There are a couple of neat things to see, but for the most part, you just wander around and read signs.

We visited during our annual spring break trip to the casinos in tunica. We wanted to do more sight-seeing while in nashville, but the weather was bad. The cmhof was the main thing that we wanted to see and we spent about three hours there. I could have spent the whole day there, but my wife's elderly aunt and uncle was with us and couldn't stand all the walking around any longer. We can't wait to go back when we can spend the day since there are so many won- wonderful exhibits, pictures, and displays to see. This is really a must for all true country music fans and worth every penny!

Another must see and do, as a country music fan. I'm glad we planned to spend quite a lot of time here, with no other sightseeing hanging over our heads. -- Melinda Goslin - Lowell, ME
Very interesting. The only hitch was their requiring that i leave my driver's license or credit card to use the audio tour gadget. I refused for concern about identity theft, but another member of our party allowed them to hold his concealed weapons permit. They should have a better way of handling this.
-- Shearor F Burton - Monroe, TN
Fantastic venue, so glad we went for the morning rather than as part of a trip that would have meant limited time here.
-- Jean Davies - Cardiff, 0

This was wonderful. So much interesting information. Be sure to do the studio b tour if you go to the hall of fame, though, it was the most interesting part and you might see someone in a recording session while you are there... The audio tour part was time consuming and sometimes too much, but it was a nice option to have and you don't have to use for every display.

Hall of faMe was great. Parking was not very good. Watch your signs or you May end up in a parking area that ends at 3:30 p.M. Then it is a tow away zone.
-- Tammy Coulter - Jewett, TX
We went there twice, not by choice but because we saw it as a separate attraction and then on the city tour. Actually, that was a pretty good idea, because we got to go back and see things we hadn't spent much time on the first time. You might want to point this out to people, though, who might not want to repeat the experience. We spent over 3 hours on the the museum alone tour. The city tour allowed you about an hour, not enough time to see the whole thing.
-- Frances Metzger - Shaker Heights, OH

I loved the hall of fame. We stayed there for hours looking at all the remarkable stuff in there. It was very easy to just hand the ticket office our vme vouchers and go. I want to thank the lady at the ticket booth because she was able to get us a wheel chair for my sister. I did not make any notes on the vacation packet that we had a disabled person but she was very helpful.

Much nicer than when we visited it in 1992 but it's lost that intimate feeling. It has the aura of an interesting tourist trap, not a museum.
