A wonderful spot to visit, but it is not is sault. Ste. Marie. The museum and whitefish point lighthouse are 10 miles north of paradise, on whitefish point road. Walk the sand beach and visit the whitefish point bird observatory while enjoying this beautiful spot on lake superior

It's pretty cool if that's what you are looking for. There is a lot of information about the different ships that have wrecked and about the last family that worked the lighthouse. There drive was a bit farther than i expected but we were glad we went.
Tip: Plan extra time to see the falls in the area.
