And as they explain, it all began because they needed a functional pepper mill and that ordinary quest expanded and grew and grew and grew till finally a Museum was the obvious solution.

The Museum has over 20,000 shakers in its collection and aside from just taking a look at them; the entire collection displays an interesting history of changes in the tastes and focus of society from antiquity to the present time. Most Museums are rather serious, but this one is whimsical and brings a bit of joy to the viewer. After a visit one will never look at a salt and pepper shaker the same way.
