"Our entire experience was fantastic."
Our entire experience was fantastic. Tribute to the king on Monday, july 18 started our week of awesoMe experiences. Next was the bus tour to herMitage and belle Meade plantations. All our tour guides were so inforMative and gracious - a great historical experience! Wednesday a.M. Was a tour of gaylord opry hotel. That place is huge and the many gardens are better than any botanical gardens and it's air-conditioned! We asked how they were affected by the flood of 2010 and were astounded by the amount of damage and how quickly they were able to recover. That evening was the grand ole opry. Even though we hadn't heard of any of them, each performer just got better! The harmony and instrument playing were fantastic! Thursday was a tour of music row and downtown bars. Each establishment had at least one live band, tootsie's had three! 'interesting to walk where all the great country stars had made their hits. On the general jackson tour that evening, the downtown skyline at sunset was so beautiful, the food was very delicious and the show was absolutely amazing. Our only bad experience was on this night - a very rude and inattentive waiter. On friday, we had a glassblowing session with jose at franklin glassblowing and made some beautiful pieces which we had to pick up the next day. Then we toured the holtz house in franklin and had the best tour guide of them all, laura, a fifth generation franklinite! The loveless café that evening was also a big hit! I would recommend a vacation in nashville anytime. Our next vacation there we'll take in the sights and activities we didn't get to experience on this 2016 trip.

"I would love to go on this tour again"
I loved learning about history and loved the plantations. The driver was great and he even sang to us on the bus. He was very good and very funny. He gave information about the places we were visiting and also about nashville itself. I would love to go on this tour again, with the same driver.

This tour was great except the last one hour was a waste as we all just waited for the hour to pass by sitting in chairs wishing we were back on the road home. We would have preferred to have gotten back on the bus without so much extra time doing nothing. We had plenty of time for walking the grounds but it was way more than we needed.

Seeing andrew jackson's home and the belle meade plantation where they reared race horses was fantastic. The tour guide also gave us info about nashville along the route and we stopped at a wonderful smorgasbord for lunch.

I am very pleased with my experience. I booked a hotel in nashville and an historic tour. The hotel was very suitable and the tour went exactly as promised. Both actually exceeded my expectations.

Hermitage was interesting but way too much walking. We noticed a horse drawn wagon loaded with people and wished we could have toured the grounds that way, but no one mentioned it was even a possibility. No information on that at all, anywhere. Too much walking for older people to enjoy. The bellmeade plantation was amazing! Loved the wine tasting and the wine was fantastic!

This was a very interesting tour. Just a little late getting started and having to wait for 20 minutes for some other passengers to get to the bus after visiting the hermitage. Not your fault! The lunch was good and a good value. It was easy to book and very good drivers...

We are so happy we took the historic tour, we knew we would really enjoy it but we more than enjoyed the tour but we had a blast ! The driver (ron ) was such a blessing , we knew we'd like the tour as soon as we met him as he picked us up . A bearded cowboy which was the look we expected to see who not only gave us tons of information on the things we were going to see but kelpt us laughing with his stories and even sang a couple of his songs for us which by the way were very good ! When back in nashville we will use grayline and take this tour again with ron . Well spent money !!!

A well organized historical tour of president andrew jackson's estate as well as the belle meade plantation. I really enjoyed myself on this tour. We even had enough time to grab a bit to eat at the jackson estate.

Loved andrew jackson's home, well kept, well maintained. Didn't enjoy bell meade as much, but it was a long day. What a coincidence that my guide-driver was from my part of texas and used to play dances in my hometown!!!
