Several buildings are there are the Shepherd of the Hills homestead, including the Morgan Community Church and Old Matt's Cabin. Known for producing some of the finest outdoor theater in the world, guests will also enjoy exploring the homestead. The Shepherd of the Hills inspired not only vast tourism in the Branson area, but it also remains a part of history entrapped within a novel and the site that is still a part of the Ozark Mountain area to this day. The novel was written by Harold Bell Wright and was instantly a hit within the area, sparking interest and travel to the area. This ended up being the foundation of Branson tourism.
