About Pat Boone
Pat Boone is undeniably a jack-of-all-trades. This performer has dabbled in everything from composing to writing to acting. He has committed to motivational speaking, spokesman roles, and television roles as well. Of course, he is best known for his contributions to the music industry. Born in Jacksonville, FL, Pat Boone's family was all about music having a brother as a pop singer as well. Of course, he is also the cousin of Richard Boone and Randy Boone. With so many star-studded performers in the family, it is no surprise that Pat also has copious amounts of talent.
He began his career by performing in Centennial Park in Nashville, TN and got his first recording gig in 1954. From there, he went onto become the second most popular artist in the 1950s, only behind Elvis Presley in popularity. Some of his most notable hits include, 'I Almost Lost my Mind', 'Ain't That a Shame', 'Tutti Fruitti', and 'Long Tall Sally', as he specialized in R&B covers. He also performed various television roles such as Bernadine, the movie, and April Love. Surprisingly, he also released a heavy metal album dabbling in multiple genres in music.
