The production was beyond anything i'd ever experienced before! Not only was the stage awesome on all 3 sides, it was used so well by the actors and animals. Every single performer was top notch, and the costumes were gorgeous. I'd love to know how the horses and people who went up the theatre's aisles got back to the stage area so quickly! And the elephant! Wow! I must say that the management of the bathroom line was wonderful. Even though it was long, it moved quickly.

The food offered in the lobby needs improvement. We arrived in branson from a long drive……. Didn’t eat before the show. The hot dog was minimal nutritionally……likely very bad. Even a sandwich machine might have been a better choice. Enjoyed the show.

When the curtains opened, they kept opening and opening and opening. The stage was 270 degrees, surrounding us on three sides, comprising over 11,000 square feet. The stage was a fanciful reproduction of the ancient persian city of susa. And it was breathtaking. The attention to detail was impressive. We learned that each production at the sight & sound theatre takes nearly four years to build. The set lighting changed as buildings rolled out, rolled back, rotated 360 degrees, and rose magically from the floor to drop back down later during the show. All seamlessly. Actors occupied all parts of the set in magnificent, colorful, bejeweled costumes as the audience, in unison, would twist in the direction of the key action and dialog. I knew the story, of course, and i’m always wary of ideological productions, especially bible stories, where the message is often more important to the producer than the execution. But in this case, the playwright(s) did a great job, adding fun dialog and beautiful songs accompanied by graceful and energetic dancing, excellent acting, and even live animals that were paraded across the stage and through the audience. This show was the most elaborate and beautiful production we've ever seen. Keep in mind we've seen shows on broadway and in las vegas.

The esther set was incredible, how the mechanical walls and different views opened by motion was wonderfully arranged and lighted. The sound and lighting in the theatre on the focal area and singers was perfect. The animal and bird involvement was special. Queen esther turned out to be much better than expected. The power of the holy spirit was in abundance during the show, and we loved how the characters were very in to their part so, even tho there was some creative license in places, it felt like the possibilities the real people must have felt could have happened in their given situations. It was so wonderful when an animal did something not rehearsed it was treated just lightly enough to bring great joy to this event. I am hoping our whole family will be able to see it in the future. This production blew everything out of the water. It was amazing. The music, the voices, the costumes, the stage changes of different areas. I was a little disappointed about how close we were to the stage, but it was fanatic. I think anyone who hadn't ever heard about the bible story would have truly enjoyed that show. They followed the story very close and relayed the subject of the story well. This day, august 10th, was our 55 wedding anniversary and we couldn't have had a better gift. Wonderful! We didn't take many pictures of the area because i have too many pictures now. We do have past pictures of the area that i cherish.

Sets, choreography and energy was wonderful.Silver dillar city was a 3.5 because we are older..Both 80 that rides etc didn't appeal as much. Thanks fir a phenomenal experience. The actors, including the horses & doves go out into the audience, bringing the action into the middle of the crowd. We are encouraged to applaud and boo the parts we like or dislike, and we did! The story of esther is a great old testament story of having faith in god, and trusting in his care, even when things seem the darkest. The 2.5 hour duration of the play flew by, and we were captivated by the action, and the various story lines within the play, including the flashback or two. Very wonderfully done! I have already recommended the play to friends in st. Louis.

This was the first play we have seen at the sight & sound theatre but it will not be our last! When the curtains opened and we saw how spectacular the set was, tom looked around and exclaimed wow!!!! We had been told how awesome the plays were but we were not expecting to be completely blown away. The way the play followed the bible as well as the actors presentation was one of the best i have ever witnessed. The theatre was the best!!!

This was an amazing show, it actually transported me back to the time and place of the biblical story. The live birds and horses, the sets that moved and revolved-- wow, the work that must have gone into this. I can't imagine how many hours and people it took to bring this to fruition.
