
San Antonio Missions Unesco World Heritage Site Tour

This UNESCO World Heritage Site, which includes five Spanish missions in the city of San Antonio and five surrounding communities, is a true example of European colonization in the Americas and offers a unique historical tour experience. Giving insight into the history of the area, this tour is a unique way to learn about San Antonio and everything that makes it so special.
With hotel pick-up and drop-off included, guests will have a convenient bus trip to some of the most historic places in San Antonio. During this 3-hour and 30-minute adventure, visitors will be able to explore a variety of missions and learn about the colonialism that established San Antonio. About the Missions
These missions have provided a lasting impact on the region and on American culture. They are recognized as one of the most spectacular architectural complexes in North America and have been declared among UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. Each contains a small museum that provides you with an overview to their culture, including art, architecture, and artifacts. During the tour, guests will be able to explore three different missions, including Mission Concepcion, Mission San Jose, Mission San Juan, and Mission Espada.

At the first stop, guests will be able to explore the gorgeous grounds of Mission Concepcion. This historic place is beautiful and guests will be able to see the original frescos and hear the history of the mission.

Second Stop: Mission San Jose
(1 Hour)
With a visit to this unique mission, visitors will learn all about the life of nomadic hunters and their impact on the mission. Along the way, they will be able to explore both the sprawling grounds as well as the inside of the church itself. It also includes a viewing of a short award-winning film.

Third Stop: Mission San Juan
(10 Minutes)
This quick stop allows guests to learn about Mission San Jose and its irrigation and agriculture. This unique mission has many beautiful things to discover, and your knowledgeable guide will help you get a quick overview of it.

Fourth Stop: Mission Espada
(10 Minutes)
