"What an experience!"

What an experience! Everyone needs to stay at the gaylord at least once. Spectacular atrium and restaurants. Convenient shuttle, comfortable rooms, walk to the grand ole opry. Just wonderful. Everything taken care of by vacations made easy.

The stay was magnificent. Everyone was courteous. Shops were very nice and items well selected. The scenery was relaxing, the staff always friendly and eager to provide service. Rooms clean and amenities good. I would suggest having postcards advertising the interior or stationery in the room. The postcards in the gift shops did not illustrate the colors or the beauty of the atriums.

The resort was beautiful as well as all the amenities. The number of plants and flowers were gorgeous and i felt like i had landed on a tropical island.

Tip: My only tip was to have available one or two light fare restaurants open past 10 o'clock after a long day in downtown nashville.

Just returned from our trip, and the hotel was a pleasant surprise from check-in to check-out. Starting with the staff to our room, to the variety of places within the hotel to dine, to the ease in transportation taking us to the larger venues at no additional cost to the staff. A very large facility so make sure to use their app or take one of their maps to find your way around.

Tip: We purchased a room with a veranda, and we recommend the cascades section. I would also suggest valet parking (pricing in the long run is cheaper and you can get around nashville on their transportation service.

A beautiful resort with only one negative parking was very expensive even in self parking. Transportation to events were not always 20 minutes apart. We took a taxi back to the resort after finding after the grand ole opry the transportation would be an hour and 45 minute wait and it was very cold. Apparently it came five minutes before the show was over from the resort. I would suggest using uber instead of resort transportation.

Nothing to snack on...Tropical drink place there would be nice too. Flooded second day so really couldn't go downtown nashville. Bummer. Out of all tenneessee liked gatlinburg much better. Sorry.

The main area of the hotel is awesome however, the rooms are pretty routine. Needs more towel bars/hooks for damp towels if we are to reuse towels. Sitting chair not even comfortable & no table. Got tired of paying for every little thing within hotel. No complimentary parking (which was overpriced) no complimentary newspaper or even real coffee in the lobby. Check in was a zoo with long lines, etc.

Enjoyed our stay at opryland hotel to celebrate our 41st anniversary. Only disappointment was at check in. We arrived between 3:30- 4:00 pm and waited in line for 30 minutes or more for check in. We were ready to cancel and return home after such a long wait. A small staff at the front desk kept disappearing which is hard to understand as this was check in time. How do you schedule people to leave when the majority of guests are checking in? This was a poor first impression that is lasting. Once checked in we enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. I will have to think twice about returning unless reassured staffing at check in improves.

You knowthey say you only have one opportunity to make a 1st impression - so true. We were greeted by a gal at registration who clearly didn't want to be there. Hotel is beautiful. We requested & paid for a 2-king rooms however had queen rooms with 2 beds ea - no place to set and read or relax. She could have cared less as she walked away from us as i was still talking. So unprofessional.

Fantastic and fabulously beautiful hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there in 2005.With the quixtar/amway group of ibo's. Persons are still remenissing about our stay and how many times we got lost etc. I hope to stay there again soon. We just got back yesterday 01/4/10 from a stay at the hote. Christmas is definitely the time to go the decorations are just beautiful and more then anyone can imagine but you advertise that the shuttle is free for guests that stay at the hotel. Our friends also had a room there and we asked about the shuttle to downtown and also on new years to our boat ride, but we were told it was 18 dollars a piece which we thought was quite costly, so we had to drive ourselves downtown and find a place to park, which cost us again. That is the only thing that would keep us from coming back to your hotel. You advertise it but then it wasn't available when we got there !! Dale and deanna gonyea.

Only two small areas could use improvement: 1) room service trays and dishes were left in hallways for over half the day every day in many different areas of the hotel 2) needs to be more seating where the shuttle busses pick up outside the hotel. Great place to stay. I wish i could have stayed longer. The spa experience was awesome! I would like be back to to do and see all that i didn't get around to the first time around.

Opryland hotel was beautiful but very large and required too much walking. The garden atriums are breathtaking, but very confusing to find your way to where you wanted to go. The room was very nice, clean and newly remodeled, but nothing out of the ordinary.

"It was an unbelievable hotel."

It was an unbelievable hotel. It was so beautiful and so much to see. I know we didn't see everything. You get lost even though you have a map. Everyone was very helpful and very nice. We never thought it would look the way it did. It is just unbeliveable.

Beautiful rooms and great service. The interior gardens and waterfalls were breathtaking. We would stay there again. However, we felt the extra $10 per night charge (included with your package) and $12 per night self-parking (an extra) or $18 per night valet parking from the hotel were excessive, considering the high room rate. The shuttle drivers to the opry mills mall and grand ole opry were great - full of information!

I would like to say that this hotel is awesome and beautiful!!! I would have never imagined how huge this place is, it's like your own little world. I got lost several times, once was really bad. Needless to say, moving sidewalks would be a great asset to this place. I do admit, the bed killed my back! The second night i slept on the floor. It was like there was a hole towards the middle of the bed, slumped down in it. The wait for my vehicle was 45 minutes, that was a little upsetting, since there wasn't much room to sit down, because the seats were already taken. The people there were extremely nice, especially the man that assisted our vehicle retrieval, i believe he was like a manager in that department. Very nice!!!!!!!!!!!!
