With 25 charted singles, Greenwood has made a name for himself in the music industry and is renown as one of the biggest country icons in the genre. Not only has he had so many hit songs, but he also has won many awards and accolades including Male Vocalist of the Year for the Academy of Country Music, a Grammy for Top Male Vocal Performance in 1985, and more.

Early Life & Career
Having began playing piano when he was seven and saxophone at twelve, his life has always been interlaced with music. When he finished high school, he was able to play most of the instruments in the orchestra and was the Drum Major. After graduating, he passed on scholarships for track and music to pursue a performing career. He began playing at the Golden Hotel & Casino in Reno. Discovered in 1979 by Larry McFaden (the bass player for Mel Tillis), he was brought to Nashville where he signed to Halsey Agency.
