About Jimmy Fortune's Career
Fortune sang tenor for the Statler Brothers beginning in 1982. A talented songwriter, as well as singer, Fortune, wrote the bluegrass hits, 'Elizabeth', 'Too Much on My Heart', 'My Only Love', and 'More Than a Name on a Wall'. 'Elizabeth' was a top bluegrass release on Dailey & Vincent. After the other Statler Brothers members retired in 2002, Fortune took the opportunity to launch his solo career in which he released five new albums under his own record label and several other singles. He has continued success as he pursues more musical ventures.
Awards
Jimmy Fortune built an extremely successful career with his singing and songwriting. Because of these skills, he was inducted into the coveted Country Music Hall of Fame. As well as that honor, he also won the GMA Dove Award for Bluegrass Recorded Song of the Year.
About the Theater
This fantastic show takes place at one of Branson's most beloved entertainment venues. The Mansion Theatre for the Performing Arts is the largest theater of its kind and brings some of the best entertainment to the Ozarks. The theater has expansive seating with 3,000 seats, a mezzanine, and a balcony. The shows also take advantage of a great sound and lighting system to bring each show to life. Some of the amazing artists that have performed concerts at the Mansion include comedian Jeff Foxworthy, Charlie Daniels, Kenny Rogers, and the Oak Ridge Boys.
