About Ober Mountain
When you arrive at Ober Mountain, you will be greeted by the beauty of the mountains. The first part of the adventure is the aerial tram. About the Aerial Tram
The highlight of Ober Mountain is the aerial tram. This tram has been operating for more than 50 years. Guests can climb aboard and take a seat. The railway is one of the longest aerial tramways in the country, and it offers unparalleled views of the Smokies during each season. The tramway elevates guests to an impressive 1472 feet in the air and reaches the highest point at 2,813 feet above sea level, which is the highest in the state. The carts are counter-balanced and can hold up to 120 passengers at a time and the cart itself will be up to 300 feet up in the air for some of the most astonishing viewpoints in the Gatlinburg area. With 50 years to its name and nearly a million passengers served, the aerial tramway at Ober is an amazing Smoky Mountain tradition! The tramway takes guests up to the Adventure Park and Ski area of Ober Mountain.
About the Activity Wristband
There are of course plenty of options for fun once you arrive on top of the mountain. With a wristband, guests can participate in some awesome attractions at the Adventure Park. Wristbands include unlimited use of the Aerial Tramway and includes the Coaster, Scenic Chairlift, Ice Skating, Ice Bumper Cars (closed during holidays), Wildlife Habitat, and the Carousel.

Mountain Coaster

Zoom along the stunning scenery of Ober Mountain on this Mountain Coaster. This alpine-style railway coaster takes guests on a winding adventure full of adrenaline-pumping action. Zoom along every twist and turn as you admire the treetops, mountainside views, and more. You may even glimpse some awesome Smoky Mountain wildlife! This activity is appropriate for ages 3 and up and includes 2,750 feet of turns, corkscrews, and more. Guests can fully control the speed of the Mountain Coaster cart, so you can have a speedy adventure or a leisurely ride.

Scenic Chairlift

Want even more aerial fun at Ober? Take a ride on the scenic chairlift. This chairlift provides a peaceful ride up to 779 foot in elevation and spans for an impressive 3019 feet, making it the longest chair lift ride in the country. You will be taken to the peak of Mt Harrison to look over the Smokies. The lift is open every season, and the May - November season features live bluegrass music.

Put your skating skills to the test with some fun ice skating at Ober Mountain Adventure Park! Perfect for beginners and advanced skaters alike, this ice rink provides a smooth surface for tons of fun. The indoor ice arena is an impressive 140' x 75' providing ample space to learn to skate or to show off your moves. Rental skates are available Toddler Size 6 - Adult Size 15. Socks are required.

Compete with friends and family in a fun Ice Bumper Car activity! Hit the ice in your bumper car and bump, spin, and have a blast! These carts have their own motors, so you will glide along in a fun and thrilling way! Rides on the ice bumper cars last in 10 minute sessions and includes a short orientation.

Parking is $20.00 per vehicle downtown. Parking on the mountain is $20 per vehicle, but is not available for buses and over-sized vehicles on weekends & holidays.
- How often does the Aerial Tram leave?
The Tram leaves every 20 minutes, taking you on a beautiful 10 minute, 2.1 mile long ride between our downtown tram terminal and our resort on top of the mountain.
- Is smoking allowed inside Ober Gatlinburg?
In accordance with Tennessee State Law smoking and vaping are not permitted in enclosed public spaces. Smoking or vaping are only permitted in outdoor areas.
- Are coolers allowed?'
Outside food and beverages including alcoholic beverages are not allowed on to the Aerial Tramway or Ober Mountain premises.

Food and drinks, including beer, are available for purchase.
- What are the rules and restrictions for the Mountain Coaster?
Ages 3 and up. Max weight of 300 lbs per cart. Must be 9 years old and at least 52' tall to ride alone. 8 and under must ride with adult. Shoes required.

Great for all ages. 6 and under must be with an adult. Loose / open-toed shoes must be removed and held by the rider during the ride.
