Deadwood is 32 miles from Mount Rushmore and was founded in 1876.

With characters like Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane among its former residents, it's no wonder that the entire town of Deadwood is a National Landmark. Proceeds from the many gambling halls in Deadwood help to keep up the town.
