Experience a variety of music that includes bluegrass, broadway, country and gospel and oldies.

Although Gatlinburg has many fantastic hotels, inns, and resorts, sometimes it's refreshing to camp out during your vacation, and with so much Smoky Mountain scenery in Gatlinburg, camping proves to be a fantastic option in this area.  If you would like to get more in touch with nature during your Gatlinburg vacation, below are the top three campgrounds in Gatlinburg.

Great Smoky Mountain National Park

  • Location: 107 Park Headquarters Road, Gatlinburg

Great Smoky Mountain National Park has the following camping options:

  • Backcountry Camping — These campsites are located at the back of the park, and the only way to get to them is by hiking. This type of camping is ideal for those looking to go on long, scenic walks through the park's beautiful trails.
  • Frontcountry Camping — Located more in the front of the park, these developed campgrounds are close to the park's parking lots. All sites here are complete with picnic tables, fire grates, cold running water, and flush toilets. Some of the campgrounds within frontcountry camping allow RVs.
  • Group Camping — These larger campsites are perfect for groups of eight or more. These sites only permit tents and not RVs or trailers.
  • Horse Camps — At these campsites, campers are welcome to bring their horses. These sites have hitch racks, and auto-access sites have picnic tables, grills, and parking spaces. One of the campsites within the horse camps have flush toilets and cold running water, while the others have portable toilets and no running water.

My family loves to go Dollywood and the water park . It has something for everyone. We go down and visit every other year. I just hate to leave because there so much to do there and the surrounding area. Go there start having fun.
