The museum collects, conserves, exhibits and interprets items which were a part of Pennsylvania German culture from 1740 through 1940. A broad collection of artifacts and several historic buildings tell the story of 18th and 19th century German population in Pennsylvania and Lancaster County.
Landis Valley Museum is located 2.5 miles north of Lancaster on Route 272/Oregon Pike, a marked exit off both Route 30 and Route 222.
