This was our first stop and we just needed more time. There was so much to see and learn - it was very powerful and moving. Would recommend this to everyone.

I visited memphis in 2007 After the birth of my daughter. One day I had the opportuity to visit the civil rights musem, when I looked at the outside something came over me that I had never felt before. We walked in and the first place I really wanted to see was Dr. Kings hotel room. When I got to his roomk I began to cry because It was like his spirit had never left the hotel. I began to become more grateful for the people who struggled to make things better for all generations after them. It was one of the most breath taking museums I have ever been to. The most stragest thing happened on the way out of the museum, the lady who was there through every thing that happened even the death of Martin Luther king was sitting on the corner so we decided to go and talk to her. I saw that she really cares for Dr. King because she slept there all night, she told stories about what happened. The stories she told were touching to me. I will be returning to Memphis January 9, 2009 To visit my father and I will make a special trip to go to the museum. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As so many that have had the opportunity to view this breath taking museum, I was speechless, and felt as though I was there the day it all happened. I loved every minute of it, just listening to the stories brought tears to my eyes to hear and see what our people went through to make things better for generations to come. If you have not been, please go its well worth the money you'll spend in gas.

FedEx Express had a class to tour the Civil Rights Museum on May 10th and the participants had nothing but raved reviews for Lakita (I think that is her name). They appreciated her knowledge and professionalism. Based on this, I wanted to send in a note of THANKS to Lakita and to let you know how much her input meant to the class. Lakita, keep up the GREAT job you are doing for the museum. Doris Adams HR Administrator FedEx Express 901-434-6146

I was really amused with all of Memphis and what it had to offer as far as the museums and the bar-b-que. the jazz the Blues. I could just feel the free spirit of the people of Memphis that I was exposed to. Everyone was so friendly. The music was the boom. I guess that I was just over whelmed with all of the history, from Martin Luther King to Elvis Presley, and loved those grilled peanut butter and banana sandwiches. I loved the concerts by the river. Memphis I will be back......... Thank You
