Even though the upper level of the house is not open to the public, the lower level & the grounds are. The house has been restored to the condition it was in 1977. There are couple of rooms (racquetball court) with his suits, gold & platinum records, & even the t.v. he gave his parents in 1975. The swimming pool in back of the house is still there with the garden where Elvis, his mother, father, & grandmother are buried. It was raining lightly & they had (free to use) umbrella's, conveniently located, if needed. Across the street (Elvis Presley Blvd.) are a car / tractor /motorcycle museum, uniforms, & suits. There are 2 restaurants, & 11, count 'em, 11 gift shops, with different Elvis memorabilia, post cards, c.d.'s, pins, shirts & mints. We took the free shuttle to Sun Studio, which was an amazing experience in itself, Everyone was very helpful. I would recommend Graceland to anyone who is interested in Elvis Presley.

My last trip to graceland was in 2003 and alot more was open inside the mansion this time around. Let me just say that Graceland and Elvis will be around long time.

My husabnd and our two daughters visited the mansion in 2004. It was awsome. It was so real. The tour guide people actually mentioned that Lisa visits often and she is friendly and down to earth. The mansion is incredible and their are some neat things inside and allot of things are the same way Elvis left. His jumpsuits were amazimg and they have them so neat in a room. His records are displayed and we also got to go into his dads office thats located on the property. I would love to visit again. It was a great experience and they're are allot of Priscillas tiny dresses on display. They are beautiful and well kept. awsome experience!

I found the line to get on the shuttle bus a bit long. It wasn't very long a wait to get on the bus but for older people it could be tiring. I am a big Elvis fan so it was nice being up close seeing things in my Elvis books. We weren't aloud on the top floor or to use a flash when taking pictures in the buildings. However, I understood this. Elvis has personal things and as for the camera over years the light could discolor items of value. I got some nice pictures and already my fellow Elvis fans are thinking of doing the trip. Thanks for a well compact package at an afordable price.

We visited Graceland in February of 2007, My wife, Tina and our two girls along with my mother and stepfather had a great time touring the entire Graceland Experience. My mother grew up during the same span of years as Elvis and she has to be one of his all time greatest fans. She had visited Graceland nearly 20 years ago and had wanted to return for another visit. Getting to watch her walk my kids through the tour and listening to her tell the kids about Elvis was a treat for me and my wife. I now have a 7 year old and a soon-to-be 4 year old that are now Elvis fans as well. I guess Cori and Carli will now be lifelong fans as well. They still want to listen to him all the time on our Sirius Radio. It's nice to know that more than 30 years after his death, Elvis can still bring excitement and enjoyment to a family and fans of all ages. Take the time and do this tour.........you won't regret it and you won't soon forget it. Memphis is a great experience.

Being born in the early 50's I grew up with the Elvis generation. Even my mother got all reved up when we saw him perform on Ed Sullivan. We both loved his music and him. He (Elvis) sort of set a guideline of how women should be treated. He put the romance in the word love. The message was in his songs. Now wonder he had such a following...I visited graceland recently and was suprised that his gracious home gave a sense of realism to he he was as a person. He lived in a house just like you or I might have. How down to earth is that? Truely, I felt love in this house. I also felt him there. You could visualize his mom cooking in the kitchen. He and his friends jamming in the rec room and playing pool. His awards and achivments were amazing. This was a trip I wanted to make for many years and also to pay my respects to the family. I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to do so May 2007 and will go again. The other exibits were amazing as well. I feel honored that I could make this trip.

I travelled all the way from Ireland to Memphis to visit Graceland.
Any true fan will know that this visit is more that your average holiday trip - it is realy an experience.
Visiting the house of Elvis, a person who had enthralled me for over 30 years, was something I had hoped for for many years - never realy expecting to get there.
I spent nearly 5 hours at Graceland - taking in every detail of every room - it was totally fascinating - seein the rooms where Elvis ate, played and recorded. The museum out back is full of fascinating articfacts - but what stopped me in my tracks was when I came to his graveside - I went cold finding it hard to believe that I was there - standing at the Grave of Elvis Presley.
Others passed by - but to them I could see it was just another stop on a tour - to a true Elvis fan it was something incredible.
To any Elvis fan who has ever thought of going - I say just do it - what ever it costs it is worth every cent.
While in Memphis the Sun Studios tour is also great - the staff give a real good talk, you get to see everything you want and you dont get rushed out of the place.
I took a drive to Tupelo next day and again its well worth it - the house and museum are excellent.
Just do it - he was and is the King - its the trip of a lifetime.

Graceland was amazing. It's 14 acres of untouched beautiful land in the middle of the ghetto. My only complaint is that they took a man of unimaginable
talent and turned him into a novelty. Some of the items his name graces are just a joke. His home is beautiful the ground are beautiful. By far the highlight of our trip.
