College of the Ozarks in Branson, MO

Home to the historic sites such as the Ralph Foster Museum, the College Dairy, Farming Museum, Edwards Mill and 1500 students, this campus is Branson's only college. The unique layout and historical features make this campus an excellent stop for vacationers.  Edwards Mill is an actual working mill, operated now by students.  The 12-foot water wheel is turned around by the running water, streaming from Lake Honor.  Home-made items are for sale, such as whole grains, meal, and flour, that are produced by the workers.  Other items including rugs, quilts, linens and more are also available for viewing and purchase.

Also on campus is the Fruitcake and Jelly Kitchen, started in the 1900s.  This is a treat to see, as this kitchen produces 40,000 cakes every year.  There are various greenhouses open to visitors, and the Ralph Foster Museum, which holds treasures from the Ozarks' beginnings to the present.  Learn the history of the Ozarks, see fine products being made and visit some of the loveliest plant-life in the region, at the College of the Ozarks.

i loved it and i think there is nothing that u really need to do that would be important to your school.

I wanted to answer your question. I graduated from CofO 5 years ago. There are plenty of student jobs in the restaurant business and there is even a Hotel/Restaurant Management Degree at the College. The work/study pays for your tuition and if you choose to work in the summer it will also cover your room and board. As far as food, I lived off campus but I think that there is a scholarship that you can get to pay for that. I know that there is a book scholarship that you can get to purchase your books. It is a GREAT school and I loved every minute of it, I am sure you will too! And it is nice to leave college without a HUGE student loan payment!

After looking at this site for College of the Ozarks, I'm convinced that I want to attend this college for 4 years. I only have one question, with the variety of campus jobs, is their anything in the restaurant business and does a student's campus job pay for every aspect of their schooling, tuition, board, housing, and food? I hope to learn more about this college and I hope to visit some time this summer.
