Oklahoma is home to fifty state parks and one of these, Twin Bridges Park, puts on what thousands throughout the state consider to be a treasured Christmas tradition. Every year at Christmastime Twin Bridges Park features its increasingly popular Park of Lights. This is a park-wide collection of more than 40 brightly-lit exhibits. All of these displays are designed, created, and sponsored by local businesses, groups, churches, and individuals. Every year features a different Christmassy theme and every year at least 20,000 people drive through the park to experience this winter wonderland.
On some nights of the year's multi-night presentation, there will be free hot dogs and drinks and sometimes even appearances by Santa. During these special nights, pictures will be taken. It is not only the visiting crowd that gets larger every year. The size of the exhibit itself gets bigger. There is always more to see than the previous year. If in the area, you will definitely want to bring your family and you will not regret doing so. The park is open for visitors from Thanksgiving until December 26. Except for a suggested donation, the Park of Lights is completely free.
