TRI for Acts of Kindness Sprint Triathlon Duathlon 5K in Tucson, AZ
"TRI" for Acts of Kindness Sprint Triathlon/Duathlon & 5K in Tucson, AZ is an event in honor of Shyann Rosati. It is a race to raise funds for impoverished, at-risk, medically challenged children. The race also raises money for low-income schools, group homes, shelters, homeless meal programs and more. The race is held on the beautiful grounds of the La Mariposa Resort. It is founded by the parents of Shyann Rosati who passed this life at the tender age of seven years old.
Shyann Ariana Rosati was born on April 23, 1997, thirteen weeks prematurely and suffered many medical complications as a result. Among her challenges were brain injuries, seizure disorders, global and developmental delays. It was said of Shyann, that despite her challenges, she was always learning to move forward, live her best life, and that her smile could light up a room. Shyann was given medications to control her most severe symptoms but would eventually pass on to glory after a valiant fight. In honor of Shyann, a family friend brought gifts to the children at the hospital where Shyann was treated. This act began “The Shyann Kindness Project.”
