If you've come to Telluride, Co this summer, plan to viist on the Fourth of July for An Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration at Telluride Historical Museum. Start early to see the parade down Main Street at 10am, then to the Museum for an old fashioned root beer float and free admission to the Museum. Then head down to the Town Park.
Picnic at noon at the Town Park and enjoy frisbee golf, sand volleyball, a skate park, a public swimming pool, kid's fishing pond, imagination station playground, and many more activities. Telluride is tucked into a box canyon with towering peaks on three sides.
Telluride is connected to Mountain Village by a free gondola ride which is the main mode of transportation to the area. It's the only one of it's kind. Very near you will be able to visit Bridal Veil Falls, a stunning 365 feet in length wonder, a great hike, bike ride, or 4 x 4 experience.
