Trolley tours are an excellent way to get familiar with Sedona, Arizona, and explore the city and surrounding areas.
Sedona is a relatively small town surrounded by inspiringly beautiful multicolored rock formations that change with the path of the sun. Sedona is on most lists of the most beautiful areas in America for that reason. Sedona is 115 miles north of Phoenix.
Trolley tours show you the city, and there are tours that also take you to some areas where you can view the rock formations and gorgeous countryside. Trolley tours allow you to get on and off along the route, so you can stop and explore at your leisure. There are also jeep tours that can be added to a trolley tour to get to the best places for photography and sightseeing. The tours also have narrators that give history and information about various points of interest along the way.
The main trolley tour is a route around town with many stops. There are other tours like sunset tours or dinner tours which have a specific purpose. There are a few operators in Sedona and you can get tickets at their headquarters or online. There are two main tours. One is centered in the South part of town with stops at the Chapel of the Holy Cross, Gallery Row, and other arts places. The second tour heads out of town to the Dry Creek Valley, which has views of the countryside and awe inspiring rock formations. Each tour is about an hour long if you do not stop along the way. You may, of course, get off at any stop and rejoin the tour on the next trolley.
