Grand Canyon Railroad Excursion Photos (4)

Ride through the desert on the Grand Canyon Railroad. Take the full-day tour on the Grand Canyon Railroad Excursion and learn the history of the Canyon. You will ride in comfort in the newly restored passages cars while taking in the magnificent view of the country side.  Your guide will entertain you with stories about the history of the train that has carried passages since the year of 1901 and enjoy a nice lunch and entertainment along the way.  Once the train stops in the Canyon, your guide will take you on a rim tour where you will learn about the history and nature. You will also take in the view of the countryside down into the canyon and learn about its formation on a guided rim tour.  This is information you will need to know about the tour: 

You will board the Railway in Williams to travel to the historic Grand Canyon  

On the train ride you will view the San Francisco Peaks and go through dense pine forest and small canyons   

The train stops at the Grand Canyon's South   

Enjoy the magnificent views of the Grand Canyon. This view can be seen from the Grand Canyon Village.  

A complementary box lunch is provided by the tour  

See the Watchtower Observatory. The Observatory is Mary Jane Colter's architectural achievement  

Experience an amazing ride and learn the history of the Grand Canyon by taking the Grand Canyon Railroad Excursion. On the tour, you will visit the Historic Cameron Trading Post built in 1916. A shop where you can make purchases for authentic Native American souvenirs, arts and crafts. Journey through beautiful countryside on your way to the magnificent Grand Canyon, named one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World by CNN. Take in the awesome views and have a bite to eat on the train. Sit back as the crew members share engaging commentary about the train, it's history and many journeys. The ride takes you across open countryside with mountain views before reaching the Grand Canyon by noon.

Upon arrival, you'll have free time to explore before your guide meets you for your Grand Canyon rim tour. After the tour enjoy drop-off back at your Flagstaff hotel. 

Pickup & Return:
Pickup is available from hotels in Flagstaff.
Returns to original departure point at approximately 6pm.
Departure Times: 8am
