Chapel of the Holy Cross
Inspired to build the church, Marguerite Brunswig Staude was a local rancher and sculptor who set out to build this Roman Catholic chapel. Originally attempting to construct the church in Hungary, the plan was aborted due to the outbreak of WW2 and instead decide to construct it in her homeland of Arizona in 1957 into the buttes of the red rock ranges.
Natural sandstone butte located in the Coconino National Forest. The butte rises over 284 feet with an elevation of 4,967 feet at the summit. With multiple spires rising in the air and the gorgeous color of the red rocks, it is known as one of the most photographed locations in Arizona.
Oak Creek Canyon
Known as a young cousin to the Grand Canyon, this scenic river gorge ranges in depths of 800-2,000 feet deep into the canyon as well as a width of .8-2.5 miles wide. The area is a beautiful sight to witness and explore on your next vacation.
