At the Seattle Aquarium in Seattle, WA, you can see some of the colorful and exciting animals that live in the water in a controlled environment. The aquarium is located in the center of town, making it easy to find while you're strolling along the sidewalks and looking for attractions for the family. There are two different levels to explore, each with a restroom and fun activities for children and adults.
When you visit the Birds and Shores, you'll see a variety of birds swimming in natural habitats. This is an open-air exhibit so that you get an idea of how the animals feel while they are outside. There is a dive show each day during the week. You can see people as they dive in the water to feed the animals, and there are some who perform a few tricks. You can touch a few animals at the Life On The Edge exhibit. An underwater dome is a way for you to see larger animals in the water, such as sharks and turtles. There is a moving sidewalk that takes you from one end of the dome to the other.
From concessions and souvenirs that you can purchase to the numerous animals that you can see and interact with, the Seattle Aquarium is a fun way to spend the day in the city. Tour groups are welcome. There are several shopping centers and restaurants close to the aquarium that you can visit after you leave.
