Seattle, Washington is home to the Merchants Café and Saloon. It is one of their oldest places to dine and grab a fine brew. Just do not drink too much while in the underground bar or you might end up wondering if you really saw a ghost or not. That's right this saloon is haunted.
Story has it that in 1938 a fire struck here and took the lives of a little boy and girl. Now, those who work and visit here can sometimes see the figures of these young beings lurking around playing tricks on staff members and visitors. Some even say they have seen the apparition of a young brothel women opening and closing doors, and men sometimes speak of her whispering silly phrases into their ears.
If you are one for loving a good spook, go on the Spooked in Seattle Ghost Tour after visiting the saloon in Pioneer Square. You may just happen to come across more spirits along that couldn’t seem to find a peaceful rest after death in the time of the Gold Rush, Prohibition and Great Depression, which the Saloon survived.
