Chinatown-International District in Seattle, WA

701 Pike Street Seattle, Wa 98101
America has many different Chinatowns found in some of the best cities, including Seattle. There is so much that you will find to do in the village that you could spend all day looking at the arts and tasting the food that awaits you. Of all the Chinatowns in America, Seattle's is known for its large makeup of immigrants from China

The food is one of the main reasons people seek out to enjoy Chinatown. The restaurants all have some of the most unique and best tasting dishes from all across the Asian continent. You can also find handmade stationary, jewelry, newspapers, breads, socks, and Asian candies to try for food. You can buy handmade objects to herbs and spices from China without having to cross oceans to find them. The culture is throughout the community with museums and parks that are at your disposal year around.

Chinatowns came to exist from immigrants moving to America and forming their own community inside some of the largest cities known today, including Seattle. The residents of Chinatown then would work to build the community up by providing services and goods to sell to people. The Chinese would end up getting churches and storefronts that would help them provide for their families and practice their traditions. The International Chinatown in Seattle is one of the largest Chinatowns today.
