Lake View Cemetery, located in the Capitol Hill section of Seattle, is the final resting place for Bruce and Brandon Lee. The gravesite sits in front of a large tree surrounded by bushes toward the back of the cemetery along with a bench for quiet reflection. Visitors often take photos; bring flowers or mementos to honor both men.
Bruce Lee was a much loved legendary martial artist and film star who died unexpectedly in 1973 at the age of 32. His wife, Linda, decided to have Lee buried in Seattle as a remembrance of a happier time. Actor Brandon Lee, 28, was killed accidentally during filming of The Crow in 1993 and it was decided by the family that he be buried alongside his father. The headstones are beautifully designed with inscriptions that reflect the personal philosophy and inspiration of Brandon and Bruce Lee.
Capitol Hill is a beautiful area and a short distance from downtown Seattle. The cemetery is north of Volunteer Park located at 1554 15th Ave E in Seattle. While this cemetery is filled with the graves of other Seattleites, thousands of visitors flock to Lake View Cemetery each year to visit their gravesite. There is an overwhelming sense of solace when you are there and if you are a fan of Brandon and Bruce Lee you will find it even more meaningful.
