Seattle Highlights Sightseeing Tour
The Seattle Highlights Sightseeing Tour is like being in a candy store. Seattle is not only home to Amazon's headquarters and the Seattle Seahawks football team but is a town full of iconic landmarks and gold fever history. The Seattle tour guide assigned to your tour will show you why Washington's beloved city truly shines.
Everyone starts the 90-minute tour on the minibus in downtown Seattle. While sitting comfortably, you will ride along to Seattle's own famous musicians with songs from Kurt Cobain and Jimi Hendrix. As the minibus grooves past the busy retail district, your eyes will approve of Pike Place Market overlooking Elliott Bay waterfront. You will then bustle through Pioneer Square and Old Town while learning about the city's big gold rush era of 1897.
The History continues into the 1900's as you cruise past the nostalgia of Chinatown International District. Hopefully, you will still be in song delight as we cruise past Kurt Cobain's former home and Jimi Hendrix's old high school. Then on to the beauty of the longest floating bridge in the world named after Governor Albert D. Rosellini.
There is some time to take photos of the amazing city views during our stop at Kerry Park. However, we leave the best of the tour for the end. At Lake Union, we see floating homes including the one used during the filming of Sleepless in Seattle. Then sit in awe during the tour's final iconic landmark known as the Space Needle, a glass observation tower which will surely fascinate you.
Who knew that Seattle offered so much? We certainly do and are so grateful for the opportunity to showcase why we love the city. We look forward to having you join us!
After hotel pickup (only for those staying at downtown Seattle hotels, south Lake Union hotels, or university area hotels), start your 1.5-hour sightseeing tour by comfortable minibus in downtown Seattle. Your guide engages you with humorous stories and in-the-know facts and stats about the city. Tunes from Seattle's famous musicians, like Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain, amp up the liveliness on board.
Weave through the main retail district, and cruise past the culinary landmark of Pike Place Market and the picturesque waterfront. Gaze at Seattle's oldest buildings in Pioneer Square and learn about the city's gold rush while passing through Old Town. Then drive through the Chinatown-International District, known locally as 'ID,' which dates back to the early 1900s.
Cruise past the former home of Kurt Cobain and the high school that Quincy Jones and Jimi Hendrix attended. Along Lake Washington, see Governor Albert D. Rosellini Bridge, the longest floating bridge in the world.
Go through the hipster-hot neighborhood of Capitol Hill en route to Lake Union, where you'll see floating homes, including the one filmed in Sleepless in Seattle. Pass the University of Washington and then under a bridge, discover the Fremont Troll, an 18-foot-tall (5-meter) sculpture of a mangy-haired troll with a gimlet eye.
At Kerry Park, disembark for a brief photo stop and admire stunning city views. Glimpse the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation building and Marion Oliver McCaw Hall, home to the Pacific Northwest Ballet and Seattle Opera.
